The Thessalonian Archive (Flash Fiction)

The Thessalonian Archive created and destroyed itself in ways that modern scientists have yet to fully understand.  How what we thought was a library could become sentient and end its own existence… We were shocked as a species and sorely afraid.  What else in this universe held consciousness that we knew not of?  And with what powers of the universe did these objects hold congress?
